Protect Your Library

Pennsylvania's 2010-2011 state budget has passed and it will have a devastating impact on Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
CLP now faces a reduction in funding of more than $600,000, including funding for the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. With last year's cuts of 30%, CLP faces a cumulative annual loss of more than $2 million to its 2011 budget.

These cuts are particularly devastating at a time when people are using libraries more than ever and relying on libraries for critical services such as applying for jobs and finding health care and social services referrals.
